Gary Butler

Lead Investigator / Equipment Manager

As a child, I had several paranormal experiences at my grandparents house which consisted of  objects moving and doors slamming shut and then slowly opening.  I even had an imaginary older friend named Allen.  I didn’t find out till I was much older that my uncle of the same name died as a teenager from a tragic accident. The experiences intrigued me, but eventually I grew out of it or learned to live with it. I reconnected with the paranormal after seeing ghost hunting programs on T.V. I thought that would be an interesting and fun thing to be involved in.  After searching the Internet. I became a member of a local group and with my work experience, I became their DVR Technician.  As a member, I had several experiences with the paranormal, including being touched on two different occasions.  In February 2009 I left this group because of differences in opinions.  I still wanted to investigate and help people understand the paranormal better, so decided to form Extreme Vision Paranormal.  Every member of Extreme Vision Paranormal brings an important quality to the group.  I believe that one person can not do everything and by working together as a TEAM (notice there is no i) the group can move forward into a promising future.  I look forward to many years working with and expanding Extreme Vision Paranormal into an exceptional organization.

Jennie Butler

Case Manager/ Lead Investigator

I have always been skeptical of all things paranormal. When my husband Gary joined an actual Ghost hunting group I laughed like he__! I would listen to his descriptions of the hunts and listen to his supposed EVPs and still push it off as a huge joke. What changed my mind was when a beloved sibling passed. The evening he passed several events occurred that I could not explain. I am not laughing anymore.
I became an active member of local group in July/Aug 2008. At that time I stepped into the case manager position. I resigned from that position in Feb 2009. Still wanting to investigate suspected paranormal occurrences I along with my husband created Extreme Vision Paranormal. To bring an explanation paranormal or not to individuals looking for answers to these occurrences is one of my goals as a Case Manager. The skeptic that still resides in me appreciates the fact that not every event, occurrence, photo or EVP is validated as paranormal activity. What is validated is of exceptional quality. I am proud to be associated with an ethical, professionally skilled group such as Extreme Vision Paranormal.

Tom Wilson

Lead Investigator

I would first like to say I am proud to call Extreme Vision Paranormal (EVP) my home.  This group is made-up of experienced, highly motivated, professional individuals who seek to help other understand the paranormal world.  They are rising to the top of their profession because of their dedication and team work that make  them great paranormal investigators. As for me I have always been interested in the paranormal. Growing up as a kid I did have a few personal experiences but like  most of us did not put much thought into them. I always enjoyed a good ghost story by the campfire, reading books about ghost and of course watching TV shows.   As time passed I followed the American dream college degree, a career, wife and kids, house and social events when I could.  With the new age awareness in the paranormal, due to scientific advisement’s and new TV shows, I once again find myself drawn into the paranormal.

Several years ago I started exploring haunted location on my own taking tours and reading up on the history of these locations.   I found a few local paranormal groups on the Internet and followed their adventures.  After awhile I joined a local group and found it rewarding helping the average home owner deal with their paranormal issues.  Joining this group, I have had a whole array of paranormal experiences mostly positive and a few negative.  Overall joining the group has heighten my awareness of the paranormal world. I left that group due to internal turmoil and once again found myself as an independent ghost hunter.  After a year or so I was ready to return to a group setting. I feel that once you find the right group the interaction with others just add so much more to the experience of the ADVENTURE.  I have know the Butler’s for awhile now and have had the pleasure of investigating with them.  I am looking forward to many additional  years exploring the paranormal world with them and their team.
This is a hard field with little respect and rewards for those hardworking investigators who are out there.  I would like to COMMEND all those in the field for their personal time and efforts that help those in need.  As an investigator you help bring a better understanding of life around us and indeed directly improve and quality of life for those you help.  Sometime personal rewards mean the most, Good Ghost Hunting everyone.

My name is Dick, I have many interest ranging from Fitness, Motorcycles, Zombies, and Paranormal. I became interested in paranormal from personal experiences as a child and I have always wanted to search for more and be able to put pieces to a puzzle together that can help the paranormal science of the future. My outside of the box personality and my need to know as much as possible lead me to want to further my interest by becoming an investigator. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this team and that I am able to share my interest with others.

Doug Colegrove

Investigator / Lead Researcher

As I was growing up, I remember going to some of my family members’ houses which were said to have ghosts. Truthfully, when I was a kid I was scared and hid under the blankets and hoped liked no other that I would never see one. As I got older, I started watching paranormal t.v. shows and started to get interested in the field. I come ready to learn more about the field, and to spread some of my experiences to others that are either interested in the field, or scared. Although I am a believer in the paranormal, I am also a true skeptic as well, as I will try to de-bunk everything before I mark it as evidence. I look forward to working with Extreme Vision Paranormal because I know they are professional, that they are ready to teach me more, and that they have the same beliefs that I do.

Heidi Heerdt

Investigator / Researcher

When I was little I always heard stories about experiences my great grandmother and mother had. I never really had any experiences, until I worked at a bar in LaSalle while in nursing school. When I was there by myself, I could here the door opening and closing, and nobody was there… I could feel people walking behind me while bartending alone.

I’ve always enjoyed the ghost hunting television shows and now am excited to join Extreme Vision Paranormal! I look forward to hopefully having more experiences.

Investigator / Audio & Video Specialist

Funny… Everyone seems to have experiences as a child. I just like watching the paranormal shows on TV… and crack up at how overly dramatic the guys on Travel Channel get… But, at least it’s step up from British TV’s Most Haunted. So, yeah… I guess I’m just a ghost hunter/investigator fan. I’m a radio DJ in LaSalle/Peru/Ottawa on 99.3 WAJK/ 96.5 The Wolf, which is where Gary heard me chatting about haunted sites… and introduced me to Extreme Vision Paranormal. I’m new at this.. But, I bring a boatload of A/V knowledge. And, I bring my wife, Heidi, cause she’s really good at taking pictures. Seriously, I have about 30 gigs of pictures on my hard drive… before you get too excited.. nothing paranormal… unless pictures of my kids painting on the wall or breaking things around the house classifies as “the unexplained”.

Ruben Amador

Investigator in Training

Growing up as the youngest of four, I was able to get away with a lot including watching all the scary movies I wanted.  Presently, I enjoy watching television episodes such as ghost stories and ghost investigation shows, especially around Halloween.  I’ve always been intrigued with the other world.  I’ve had a couple experiences, but I strive to learn as well as experience more.  I believe being part of Extreme Vision Paranormal will allow me to do so.

Shawn Amador

Investigator in Training

When I was a child, I was equally fascinated and scared of the paranormal. At the age of 16, I faced my own life and death situation which prompted me to overcome my fear and began to explore the afterlife. It is in my nature to help people who are overwhelmed by stress. My goal is also to help spirits who have not been able to pass on due to unresolved stressors. I’ve visited and ghost hunted in many locations including Bachelor’s Grove, the haunted city of Alton, The original Mineral Springs Hotel and Alton Mineral Springs Hotel. Experiences I’ve had are seeing a full bodied apparition during broad daylight in a Milwaukee park and hearing an approaching ‘alien’ sounding choir of voices at Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery. I am very excited to be part of an experienced and reputable team of paranormal investigators.

Russelle Holsinger

Investigator in Training

My interest in the paranormal came from traveling.   I have often tried to learn something about the local “folklore” of the places we visit, and that type of history always seems to be full of ghosts.   I have been on many ghost tours, have talked to a lot of people on the subject, have done a lot of reading  and watched many a ghost hunting documentary, and while I have an open mind, I have never been convinced one way or the other about the existence of the paranormal.  EVP’s  strategies which are based on objective data appeal to me and I hope, after first-hand participation and learning from the rest of the group, to finally come to an opinion about the paranormal.

Karla  Fairbanks

Investigator in Training

As a teenager my Mom and I had moved to a new house.  In that house I experienced not only the typical bumps in the night and that creepy feeling in the basement, but my furniture in my bedroom being moved while I was asleep, and very strong smells of perfume (a type that neither my Mom or I owned) that would completely engulf my room in the middle of the night. It was in that house that my interest in the paranormal began.  As an adult my interest continued with watching documentaries, movies, and all the assorted paranormal investigator shows. I look forward to investigating with Extreme Vision Paranormal and helping others to find the answers they are looking for.

Mike Szykowny

Guest Investigator

All through my childhood I was witness to strange and captivating events that I could not fully grasp in my young mind. As I aged, I became aware of the study of paranormal sciences and the probability of ghosts existing with us in this world. By using this new found information, I tried to begin answering those situations I had witnessed as a child. This initially started me off in the direction of becoming a paranormal researcher and from that time my quest has become an integral part of my character. Ghost hunting coupled with my passion for history has lead me to many active places around the United States that are usually brushed over. My favorite places to investigate are battlefields. The events that occurred there are well documented and the evidence collected from these types of investigations makes me want to show more appreciation to the sacrifices that those who came before us made.
